In today's hectic times, we rarely give ourselves time to slow down, listen to our bodies, and take an active role in our health and well-being. Thank You for visiting my website.  I offer various "hands -on" holistic modalities and techniques to help people achieve optimal health, chronic pain relief, and stress management.

I specialize in advanced manual therapy (bodywork) and energy medicine for the the treatment of various health conditions and the enhancement of overall well-being.

My office is conveniently located on a quiet block in Manhattan - Greenwich Village, New York City near Union Square. Whether you are looking for relief from chronic pain/stress, struggling with a health issue, or just want to experience deep relaxation in a peaceful environment, I will do my best to meet your individual needs.  All ages welcome.

Treatment focuses on the whole person including: structural (soft tissue) restrictions and energetic imbalances that accompany chronic stress, health issues, musculoskeletal problems, or pain patterns.

  • CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle form of manual therapy /bodywork that uses light touch to release tensions deep in the body.  CST enhances the function of the central nervous system and is an effective treatment for numerous medical problems associated with stress, trauma and physical pain. Additional benefits include: deep relaxation, improved awareness, and a profound sense of well-being.

  • Myofascial Release (MFR)  is a holistic form of manual therapy/bodywork that can eliminate pain, restore mobility, and enhance well-being. It is a soft tissue technique that applies sustained pressure to muscles and connective tissue (fascia) restrictions to restore motion, and improve function.  MFR is a comprehensive approach with a wide range of pressures, ranging from deep tissue mobilization to very light touch.

  • Energy Kinesiology  is a form of energy medicine. It is comprehensive, holistic system that assesses and balances the energy of the body. In Chinese Medicine this energy is called Chi.  Kinesiology uses muscle testing, as a form of biofeedback to assess the flow of energy (Chi) through the acupressure meridians, and the various body systems.  Once an imbalance is identified, balancing techniques that are specific for the individual, are used to restore balance. Working on an energetic level is a safe non-invasive way to create profound change on many levels.

A Integrative Body-Mind-Spirit Approach

  • The body can not be separated from the mind and therefore needs to be addressed as a whole. Whole body assessment is an important part of effective and comprehensive treatment.  It is necessary to use a whole body approach, because we are comprised of complex interrelated systems. Essentially, everything is connected, and life is motion. Restrictions or tightness in any part of the body may potentially affect other parts.  For example, chronic neck pain can be caused by restrictions/tightness in the thorax (chest), pelvis or diaphragm. An old knee injury can cause hip problems.  Restrictions in the sacrum or occiput can result in headaches. Visceral fascial restrictions can cause low back pain.  Scar tissue from an old surgery can cause adhesions resulting in imbalances throughout the rest of the body. The body’s ability to self-correct is diminished when it is overwhelmed by excessive tensions. Additionally, chronic stress can cause the body to tighten up outside of our awarenessThese restrictions can place pressure on pain sensitive structures and create all types of physical and emotional symptoms.  Innovative manual therapies such as craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, and visceral manipulation, are known for their ability to promote relief from pain, recovery from injury, and aid in functional rehabilitation.

Wellness and Prevention

  • Sessions can also be preventative with many health benefits, as well as an effective approach for improved posture, relaxation, performance enhancement, body/mind integration, and an overall sense of well-being. It is important to recognize strain patterns before they become pain patterns. Even subtle imbalances and repetitive stress can predispose a person to more serious injury such as herniated disks, strains and sprains, repetitive stress injuries, or stress related illness, therefore, awareness and prevention are important.

  • Treatment sessions are "client centered"  and tailored according to individual client needs. Everyone is unique.  I treat the person, not the diagnosis. Sessions take place in a quiet supportive environment.

  • I can work according to your comfort level. Sessions can be performed fully clothed or on the skin depending on the modality or technique employed. Craniosacral Therapy sessions are usually performed with the client completed clothed unless integrated into an MFR session. Kinesiology sessions are performed fully clothed and can be done sitting, standing, or lying down.

*All ages welcome. Sessions are 60 minutes for adults and 30-45 minutes for children.
